Used with the appropriate crimping device, these connectors are an easy way to terminate four-conductor CAT3 telephone cables with a male connector. Works well with both flat and round cables. However, with round cables, the cables must be properly arranged for the correct polarities before being inserted into these connectors for crimping. Before making the connection, you need to strip about 1/4 inch of insulation from all four wires, make sure they are oriented correctly and inserted into the plug, then crimp. The connection is then solid and compact.
